Here at Meaco Picture Framers, we provide specialist framing services in Nailsworth and the surrounding areas. When we are faced with an object or project that needs something more than our range of frames and mounts can cover, that’s when our expertise and flexibility come into play.
Along with our professional and expert team of picture framers, we also have a sister company, Meaco Woodwork Ltd., which we are able to work with to provide specialist solutions to those jobs that need a little more.
In the case that a gilt-swept frame is required, an antique frame has to be restored or repaired, or a canvas needs cleaning to bring it back to life, we work in collaboration with trusted experts in their fields who specialise in these skills.

Custom mouldings
Our sister company, Meaco Woodwork Ltd., with many years of experience in over mantle mirror frames means we are able to design brand-new frame mouldings, replicate an existing frame or re-work existing frames to suit new contexts.
Bespoke display frames
Display your 2D or 3D memorabilia in one of our custom-built display frames. Sports shirts, wedding bouquets, medals, even a stone axe head! - we can produce the frame or mounting to exhibit your item at its best. There are also box frames in our range of Ready-Made Frames.
Light Boxes
This is another facet of our bespoke framing - using LED technology in back-lit box frames to display stained-glass panels or shadow paper art etc.
Fine Art Giclée Printing & Scanning
Reproduce your artwork into Fine Art Giclée prints. Our Canon Pro-4000 printer allows us to achieve high-quality prints with vivid colours, and deep blacks up to a width of 44” if necessary. Please see our dedicated page Fine Art Print Service and Scans for more details.
Hand finishing
We offer a wide range of hand finishes including wood dyes, oils and paint effects to ensure the frame complements the artwork and the environment in which it will be displayed.
Gilding and swept frames
In collaboration with Traditional Framers, we are able to offer swept traditionally decorated frames in a wide range of styles and finishes that include oil and water gilding.
Mirror and TV mirror frames
We also use our mouldings to make custom mirrors. Our sister company Meaco Woodwork Ltd. produces a wide range of regency and modern mirror frames for Overmantels Ltd. London - also available through our shop. Overmantels’ subtle range of frames includes many that with suitable mirror glass completely hide a flat-screen TV until it is switched on.
